Turkey weather: Scattered showers and thunderstorms forecast, with heavy rain warnings

Turkey's meteorological agency forecasts a mixed weather pattern for the country, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected in northern areas and along the Mediterranean coast. The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) predicts cloudy skies in these regions, while other areas will experience mostly clear conditions.

Significant rainfall is anticipated in the provinces of Samsun, Kars, Ardahan, and the northeastern parts of Erzurum. Authorities have issued a heavy rainfall warning for these areas, advising caution due to potential adverse effects. The weather is expected to remain largely consistent with seasonal norms, with no major temperature shifts anticipated.

In terms of wind, conditions will generally be light to moderate. However, stronger winds, ranging from 40-60 km/h, are expected from the north along the coasts of Marmara and the North Aegean. A strong wind warning is in effect for these coastal areas, urging preparedness for potential disruptions.
