Turkey Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Completes 20th Anniversary Tour

The Turkey Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (TUGFO), under the main support of the Sabancı Foundation, has successfully completed its 20th-anniversary tour, themed "The Magic of Music." The orchestra presented 10 concerts throughout Turkey and Europe, showcasing the talents of young musicians.

Operating under the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation and with pioneering sponsorship from Rönesans Sağlık Yatırım, TUGFO's tour ran from July 28 to August 12. The repertoire, conducted by Cem Mansur, drew inspiration from the worlds of "magic" and "fairy tales," offering classical music pieces interpreted by the young artists.

The tour commenced in Turkey with performances at the Ayvalık Amphitheater in Balıkesir, the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Arts Center in İzmir, and the Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory. A special 20th-anniversary concert was held at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Following its domestic program, TUGFO embarked on its European leg, starting in Bayreuth, Germany, where they participated as special guests in the Young Artists Festival Bayreuth and the Berlin Young Euro Classic Festival. After a sold-out concert in Bayreuth, the orchestra continued to Romania. They performed at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest before concluding the tour at the Sinaia Festival.
