Turkish Farmer Achieves Impressive Strawberry Harvest in First Year

A farmer in Turkey's Arapdede Village has achieved remarkable success in his first year of strawberry cultivation, yielding 1.2 tons of produce from a 1,600 square meter greenhouse. Semih Sağır's venture, supported by a grant, has not only brought him personal success but also serves as an inspiring model for agricultural producers in the region.

Sağır planted 12,000 strawberry seedlings, dedicating significant effort and commitment to the production process. Upon reaching the first harvest period, he reported a yield of 1.2 tons, expressing optimism that production will increase in the coming seasons, with a target of reaching 2 tons.

District Governor Muhammet Mustafa Kara and District Director of Agriculture and Forestry Serdar Sert visited Sağır's farm to observe his operations. They toured the greenhouse, examined the production areas, and received detailed information about the cultivation process. The officials commended Sağır's dedication and the successful outcome of his first harvest.

We have reached the first harvest period after a production process carried out with great effort and dedication. From the 12,000 strawberry seedlings here, we have produced 1 ton and 200 kilograms of strawberries in the first year. Production will increase further in the coming period, and our goal is to reach a harvest figure of 2 tons.
