Turkish Quiz Show Contestant Misses 300,000 Lira Prize on Idiom Question

A contestant on the popular Turkish quiz show "Kim Milyoner Olmak İster?" (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?), hosted by Oktay Kaynarca, made it to a significant milestone in the competition. The participant successfully navigated through earlier rounds, earning the right to attempt a question worth 300,000 Turkish Lira.

However, the question presented proved to be a major challenge. The contestant was asked to identify which of the given options was not a Turkish idiom. This particular question became the defining moment of their participation in the show.

Compounding the difficulty, the contestant had exhausted all their joker assists, leaving them to rely solely on their own knowledge. After a period of deliberation, they provided an answer. Unfortunately, their response was incorrect, resulting in the forfeiture of the 300,000 Lira prize and the chance to compete for the 500,000 Lira question.

The correct answer, revealed after the contestant's incorrect guess, was "Far görmüş tavşana dönmek" (to turn into a rabbit that has seen headlights), which is indeed an idiom. The contestant expressed significant disappointment upon learning the correct answer, having narrowly missed out on a substantial prize.
