TV Tip: 2026 Football World Cup

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is commencing, marking a significant event for football fans. Television Slovenia 2 (TV SLO 2) and Arena Sport are set to provide extensive coverage of the tournament. TV SLO 2 will broadcast 64 matches, including all 32 group stage games and the entire knockout phase. Alongside the matches, the channel will air a daily studio show titled "Nogomet je zakon" (Football is Law). This program will feature field reports, guest discussions on non-football related topics, and analysis of the day's events, hosted by Saša Jerković and Tomaž Hudomalj.

Arena Sport plans to broadcast all 104 matches of the World Cup. They are launching a new studio program, "Mundial 104," which will air daily during the competition. The show will be hosted by Nataša Gavranić, Dani Bavec, and Alen Hodžić. Additionally, Sara Pakiž, Miha Trošt, and Luka Skarlovnik will host daily pre-studio "warm-up" segments. The broadcast will feature a comprehensive roster of football experts, including Nejc Vidmar, Denis Šme, Marcos Tavares, Boban Jović, Simon Rožman, Dejan Grabić, Mustafa Nukić, and Etien Velikonja, providing in-depth analysis and commentary throughout the tournament.
