TVN Media and Panama Women Directors Association Forge Alliance to Boost Female Leadership

TVN Media and the Association of Women Directors of Panama (ADP) have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at highlighting the importance of female leadership and fostering equitable participation of women in the business world. Through this alliance, TVN Media will serve as a media partner, supporting the ADP's initiatives and raising awareness about compliance with existing legislation.

Panama's Law 56 of 2017 stipulates that at least 30% of positions on company boards must be held by qualified women. However, female representation continues to face challenges in meeting this target. Ana Sofía Alemán, president of the ADP, noted that while progress has been made since the law's enactment, the current figures remain far from the objective. She emphasized that the agreement with TVN Media will be crucial for amplifying the reach and dissemination of this cause.

Luis Mouynes, general manager of TVN Media, stated that the alliance aligns with the company's internal policies focused on gender equity and equal pay. Currently, women comprise 56% of the organization's leadership team. Mouynes also highlighted the company's established pay equity, ensuring that female professionals receive compensation equal to or greater than their male counterparts.
