Two 14yo girls injured after crashing stolen car

Two 14-year-old girls are in the hospital following a crash involving a car allegedly stolen in Melbourne's southeast. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. last night on Peninsula Link, near the Cranbourne-Frankston Road exit.

Victoria Police reported that the driver lost control of the grey Honda Jazz, causing the vehicle to roll numerous times. The driver, who is 14 years old, was extracted from the overturned car and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her 14-year-old passenger also received hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities stated that the vehicle was allegedly stolen from outside a gym in Chadstone on July 23. Police are appealing for public assistance, specifically requesting anyone with dash-cam footage or who witnessed the driving behavior of the grey Honda Jazz before the collision to come forward.
