Two Asian nationals arrested in Oman with over 225kg of drugs

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) apprehended two Asian nationals in the Wilayat of Al Seeb, seizing a substantial quantity of narcotics exceeding 225 kilograms. The confiscated substances include crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and heroin. This operation was conducted by the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks and prevent the circulation of illegal narcotics within Oman. Authorities reported that the arrested individuals were found in possession of the drugs with the clear intent of trafficking and personal consumption. Legal proceedings are currently underway, and the suspects will be transferred to the competent judicial authorities for further action. In a separate incident, the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a man with a history of criminal offenses for allegedly stealing five vehicles in Al Khoud. Police reported that the suspect dismantled the stolen vehicles to sell their parts. Legal procedures are also being completed in this case before referral to the relevant authorities.
