Two Majalengka Youths Beaten by Assailants in Indramayu Rice Field Area

A viral social media report claimed two young men from Majalengka were victims of a mugging in an Indramaya rice field. However, Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Fajar Gemilang, through Jatibarang Police Chief Kompol Darli, clarified that the incident was not a robbery. Darli explained that the victims' belongings, including their motorcycle, were not taken. The incident began when Tofan (25) and his friend Didi Maino (27) traveled from Majalengka to Jatibarang after being invited to meet by an acquaintance named Tio, whom they knew from working in Bekasi. Upon arrival, Tofan and Didi tried to contact Tio but his phone was unreachable. Despite this, they followed Tio's shared location to a rice field area. At the location, they asked two women for directions. Shortly after, two unknown men suddenly attacked them physically. The victims sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local health center before being transferred to Mitra Plumbon Widasari Hospital for further medical treatment.
