Two officers found intoxicated on duty at Vilnius prison

An internal check at a Vilnius prison has revealed that two officers were under the influence of alcohol while on duty. The Lithuanian Prison Service reported that a specialist from the Security Management Department registered a blood alcohol level of 0.11 permille, while a Resocialization Specialist had a level of 0.30 permille.

In response to these findings, both officers were immediately suspended from their duties, in line with current legal statutes. The Prison Service emphasized its commitment to consistent sobriety checks, both planned and unannounced, for all personnel.
