Two Seriously Injured in Belgrade Overnight Violence: One Shot, Another Attacked with Hammer

Belgrade experienced a night of violence, with two serious incidents reported by the city's Emergency Medical Service. In Rakovica, a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg around 11 p.m. on July 24. He was subsequently taken to the Urgent Care Center with severe injuries.

Just a few hours later, in the early morning of July 25, an 18-year-old sustained significant head trauma during a fight. The incident, which occurred around 1:25 a.m. on Bulevar kralja Aleksandra, involved the use of a hammer. The victim was also transported to the Urgent Care Center for treatment of his serious injuries.

The Emergency Medical Service reported a total of 114 interventions during the night shift, with 25 occurring in public spaces. The majority of calls received were from individuals with chronic conditions experiencing respiratory problems or chest pain. The service also responded to two traffic accidents during the night, one of which resulted in minor injuries.
