Two Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision in Hunsrück

A serious traffic accident on a rural road in the Hunsrück region of Germany has left two individuals with severe injuries. The collision involved two cars and occurred when one vehicle reportedly crossed into the opposing lane under circumstances that remain unclear.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene. One of the injured parties, a 38-year-old woman driving in one of the vehicles, was airlifted to a hospital in Koblenz. The other severely injured person, from a vehicle carrying three occupants aged 19 to 82, was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Neuwied.

While two individuals suffered significant injuries requiring air ambulance transport, the other two individuals involved in the crash sustained only minor injuries. The L220 road between Budenbach and Kisselbach was temporarily closed to traffic as authorities investigated the cause of the collision and cleared the scene.
