Two suspects arrested in Turkey after posting armed photos on social media

Authorities in Eskişehir, Turkey, have apprehended two individuals following the circulation of alarming images on social media. The suspects, identified as Y.S. and G.S., were seen posing with firearms in photographs that were subsequently shared online. The visual evidence prompted swift action from the Tepebaşı District Police Department.

Responding to the online posts, police teams located and detained the two suspects. A search of their residences yielded a significant cache of weapons. Seized items included two pump-action shotguns, two blank-firing pistols, an air rifle, 69 shotgun cartridges, four live bullets, 22 blank cartridges, and a shotgun magazine. The discovery of these items raised further concerns about the individuals' intentions and access to weaponry.

Following their arrest, the suspects were transported to the Eskişehir Police Department for initial questioning. After completing the necessary procedures at the police station, both individuals were referred to the courthouse. Further legal proceedings will determine the charges and potential consequences related to their possession of firearms and the public display of weapons.
