Two Young Women Caught Driving Over 200 km/h on Slavonika Highway; Fines Issued

Two young drivers face significant penalties after being caught speeding excessively on Croatia's A5 highway, also known as Slavonika. The drivers, aged 25 and 23, were apprehended for driving at speeds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour in a zone with a posted limit of 130 km/h.

The first driver, a 25-year-old woman, was stopped by police at 2:07 PM on Saturday. She was recorded driving at 205 km/h. After legal adjustments, her speed was determined to be 184 km/h, which is 54 km/h over the limit. Later that day, at 1:55 AM, a 23-year-old woman was stopped on the same highway for driving at 202 km/h. Her adjusted speed was 181 km/h, exceeding the limit by 51 km/h.

As a consequence of their actions, both women are subject to a fine of 660 euros and a one-month ban from driving vehicles in category B. Following the finalization of these decisions, they will also incur three negative penalty points on their driving records.
