U.S. ambassador says Israel “has responsibility” to ensure West Bank Palestinians’ safety

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said the Israeli government has a responsibility to ensure the safety of Palestinians in the West Bank after a sharp rise in settler attacks.

Huckabee made the comments on Saturday while meeting Palestinian-Americans in the West Bank. He said people in the communities had a right to live with security and safety, and that the government was responsible for ensuring it.
