The U.S. Embassy in South Korea has highlighted a promotional video for "Freedom 250," a campaign celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence. The initiative also underscores the robust and enduring friendship between the United States and South Korea, which has spanned over seven decades.

The embassy shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, stating, "Through 'Freedom 250,' we commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence and the unwavering friendship between the U.S. and South Korea for over 70 years." The message emphasized that the two nations are building a future that is "more secure, steadfast, and prosperous than ever before."

The video prominently features U.S. Ambassador to Korea, Philip Goldberg, who begins with a greeting in Korean, "Annyeonghaseyo," before switching to English. He expresses his honor in commemorating the history the two countries have built together. Goldberg is noted as the first U.S. ambassador to South Korea under the second Trump administration and the first Korean-American woman to hold the position.
