The United States lacks sufficient naval assets to consistently shield Israel from ballistic missile threats, according to a stark warning issued by the top U.S. commander in Europe. General Alexus Grynkewich, head of the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), informed senior Pentagon officials that without an additional U.S. Navy destroyer, he would be forced to prioritize American homeland defense over Israel's security.
