U.S. official: Trump plans to extend war with Iran through 2027

The Pentagon has decided to keep tens of thousands of U.S. troops, naval vessels, fighter squadrons, and air-defense systems deployed under Central Command until 2027, an American military source told Eram News.

The source presented the move as a sign that Washington is preparing for a long confrontation with Iran rather than a limited operation settled by a single round of strikes. U.S. planning, the official said, no longer rests on the assumption that the Iranian threat will end quickly.
