U16 European Championship Semifinal: Lithuania faces undefeated France

Lithuania's U16 national basketball team is set to compete in the European Championship semifinals against a formidable, undefeated French squad. The highly anticipated match is scheduled for Friday evening in Romania.

Both Lithuania and France have showcased dominant performances, navigating the tournament without a single loss. The Lithuanian team, led by Danielius Jasikevičius and Lukas Andrulis, advanced to the semifinals by overcoming Germany with a 82-75 victory in the quarterfinals. This win also secured their qualification for next year's U17 World Championship, as the top five European teams earn a spot.

France, on the other hand, demonstrated their strength by decisively defeating the host nation, Romania, 108-69 in their quarterfinal matchup. Their path to the semifinals has been equally impressive, with consistent victories throughout the group stage and the round of 16.

Lithuania topped Group A, defeating Serbia, Poland, and Romania before overcoming Italy in the round of 16. France also dominated their group, beating Slovenia, Belgium, and Germany, and then convincingly defeating Georgia in the round of 16. The other semifinal will feature Latvia against Spain.
