UAE, Egypt Eye Bigger Push to Boost Oil, Gas Production

Egypt is actively seeking to expand its oil and gas drilling activities, with the United Arab Emirates' ADNOC Drilling expressing interest in participating in the nation's onshore and offshore programs. Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi held discussions with ADNOC Drilling CEO Abdullah Ateya Al Messabi regarding potential collaborations and the company's role in boosting domestic energy production.

Increasing drilling activity is a key pillar of the Ministry’s five-year plan to boost domestic crude oil and natural gas production by intensifying exploration, accelerating the development of discoveries, increasing well-drilling rates, and adopting advanced technologies and technical solutions.

ADNOC Drilling, a subsidiary of the UAE's state-owned energy giant ADNOC Group, provides comprehensive drilling and well-services solutions. Minister Badawi emphasized that increasing drilling activity is a core component of the ministry's five-year strategy. This plan involves intensifying exploration, accelerating the development of new discoveries, increasing well-drilling rates, and adopting advanced technologies.
