UAE Jiu-Jitsu Team Wins Five More Medals at World Championship

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu National Team continues to dominate at the 2026 Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, adding five more medals to its impressive tally. The team clinched three gold and two silver medals in the adult men's competition on Friday, held at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. These latest victories push the national team's overall medal count for the championship to a remarkable 62.

The championship, which runs until August 9, has drawn more than 1,500 athletes from across the globe. It is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation is hosting the event, with the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation as the organizer.

Friday's competitions saw UAE athletes compete fiercely in the Under-56kg, Under-62kg, Under-69kg, and Under-77kg divisions. The day was highlighted by two all-UAE finals, showcasing the depth of talent within the national team. The team's strong performance underscores their continued success and prominence in the sport of jiu-jitsu.
