UAE name show jumping squad for FEI World Championships Aachen 2026

The United Arab Emirates is setting its sights on global equestrian success with the announcement of its show jumping squad for the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026. The federation has named five horse-and-rider combinations who will carry the nation's hopes in Germany.

This prestigious event, held every four years, is more than just a competition for world titles; it serves as the first opportunity for teams to secure qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The seven highest-placed eligible teams will earn coveted spots in the Olympics.

Leading the UAE charge is renowned British horseman William Funnell, returning as Chef d'Équipe. His experience will be crucial as the team aims to make its mark on the international stage and begin its Olympic qualification journey.

The championships will take place at the iconic Aachen Soers in Germany from August 19-23. The UAE team's participation underscores the nation's growing ambitions in equestrian sports.
