UBSI Program Empowers 38 Villages Through Education and Economic Development

Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) has launched BSI Explore 2026, a month-long community service program engaging students in 38 partner villages. The initiative aims to provide students with a platform for practical contribution while addressing local needs.

The program is structured around three core pillars: Education and Literacy, Social and Economic Empowerment, and Village Potential Development. These pillars guide students in designing and implementing projects relevant to the specific conditions and opportunities within each village. Ade Suriyadi, the head of BSI Explore 2026, stated that "the focus of the work program is directed at three main pillars of community service: education and literacy, social and economic empowerment, and village potential development."

Under the Education and Literacy pillar, students will conduct activities such as tutoring, school assistance, inspirational classes, library revitalization, digital literacy training, and anti-bullying campaigns. The goal is to enhance formal and non-formal education and cultivate a stronger culture of literacy within the communities. Suriyadi noted, "The education sector is one of the important focuses because it plays a role in building the quality of human resources in the village."

The Social and Economic Empowerment pillar targets the development of community independence, particularly among youth and small businesses. Programs include entrepreneurship training, financial management workshops for MSMEs, handicraft development, and assistance in forming village-owned enterprises (BUMDes). Health education and clean living campaigns are also part of this pillar, aiming to improve the overall quality of life and productivity.

Finally, the Village Potential Development pillar focuses on helping communities identify, manage, and promote their unique resources, including tourism and creative economy potential. Through these multifaceted efforts, BSI Explore 2026 seeks to create lasting positive impacts and foster sustainable development in the participating villages.
