UBSI Software Engineering Students Win Best Screenplay Writer at PIKMI 2026

Students from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) have achieved national recognition, winning the Best Screenplay Writer award at the Pagelaran Inovasi dan Kreativitas Mahasiswa Indonesia (PIKMI) 2026.

The winning team, comprising Debora Gloria Ayawaila, Sawaludin, Agusti Tantang Priyosetyo, Mohamad Fachri Haikal, and Fadhilah Alhadiid, created a short film that delved into the theme "Human x AI: New Narratives in Cinema." This theme challenged participants to explore the intricate relationship between humans and artificial intelligence through innovative visual storytelling.

The award ceremony took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the BSI Convention Center. Sifa Fauziah, the students' supervisor, expressed immense pride in their hard work, creativity, and collaborative spirit. She emphasized that this success demonstrates the Software Engineering students' capabilities extend beyond technology into producing inspiring creative works.

Taufik Baidawi also congratulated the students, viewing their achievement as a significant inspiration for other Software Engineering students at UBSI. He encouraged them to actively participate in competitions and continue developing their creativity to produce innovative projects. UBSI, as a Digital Creative Campus, actively promotes student potential in technology, innovation, and the creative industry, with this award serving as a testament to the power of combining creativity with technology.
