UFC at the White House will never happen again, promoter says

UFC President Dana White declared that the organization's event at the White House will not be repeated, despite calling it an "amazing experience."

The event, dubbed Freedom 250, was held to celebrate President Donald Trump's 80th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. White described the event as a "smashing success," citing strong merchandise sales and streaming subscriptions, and stated that UFC surpassed its goals in every metric.

Fighters enjoyed tours of the West Wing, including the Oval Office, and winners met with Trump. Lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, who won his title fight at the event, described seeing the original Declaration of Independence as "pretty crazy" and prayed before his unusually long walk to the cage. Gaethje earned $US825,000 in bonus money for his performance.

Despite the overall success, there were minor issues. UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland claimed he was not cleared to attend the event due to past comments about Israel and Epstein. He was later seen being escorted out by police after attempting to sneak into a fan event.
