Ukraine Intelligence Chief Predicts Peace with Russia in a Decade, Rules Out Territorial Concessions

Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR), has offered a long-term outlook on relations between Ukraine and Russia, suggesting that normalization could occur in approximately ten years. However, Budanov emphasized that immediate reconciliation remains out of reach due to the profound trauma and ongoing conflict.

Speaking on the potential for future peace, Budanov indicated that while relations might eventually normalize, the current war and its lasting scars make any near-term healing impossible. His comments suggest a lengthy period of estrangement and recovery will be necessary before any semblance of normal interaction can resume between the two nations.
