Ukraine intelligence: Russia considering Kyiv, Chernihiv offensives

Ukraine's intelligence services have received information, verified from multiple sources, suggesting Russia's military command has been tasked by political leadership to plan potential offensive operations. These plans reportedly focus on the directions of Kyiv and Chernihiv.

Pavel Palitsa, deputy head of the President's Office, stated that while Russia is exploring various scenarios, Ukraine is not currently observing the formation of any offensive groupings in these specific directions. He emphasized that the mere existence of these potential plans does not signify an imminent or inevitable attack on Kyiv or Chernihiv.

Indeed, we received intelligence information, which has been verified from several sources, that the military leadership of the Russian Federation has received a task from the political leadership to plan several variants of such an operation in the direction of Kyiv and Chernihiv.

Ukraine's General Staff has developed comprehensive response, defense, and resistance scenarios to counter any such moves. The primary objective remains to prevent conditions that would allow Russian forces to launch offensive operations. Despite the ongoing planning by Russia, Ukraine is actively preparing for potential developments.

Meanwhile, Russia continues its offensive actions on several fronts, particularly in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Ukrainian forces are engaged in localized counterattacks, working to halt the enemy's advance.
