Ukraine's Air Defense Neutralizes 111 of 147 Russian Drones

Ukraine's air defense forces successfully neutralized 111 out of 147 Russian attack drones launched from various locations, including Russia and occupied territories, between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

The drones, identified as "Shahed" types and their jet-powered variants, along with "Gerbera" and "Parodia" imitation drones, were fired from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from occupied Donetsk and Crimea.

Ukraine's aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups engaged the aerial assault. Preliminary data indicates that by Tuesday 8 a.m., air defense systems in the country's north, south, and east had shot down or suppressed 111 drones.

Despite the successful interceptions, drone strikes were recorded in 19 locations across Ukraine. Debris from downed targets fell in three separate areas, indicating the widespread nature of the attack. The Russian drone offensive is reportedly ongoing.
