Ukraine Security Service Recovers Key Bombing Evidence Video

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has successfully restored vital video evidence from a surveillance camera that suspects in a bombing attempt had tried to destroy. The restored footage is considered a key piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation.

"Thanks to the professional work of SBU specialists, it was possible to restore one of the main pieces of evidence that the suspects tried to destroy," stated Kravchenko. He explained that the video, captured by a surveillance camera intentionally placed near the crime scene by the perpetrators to confirm the execution of their order, had been deleted. However, SBU specialists managed to recover it.

The video shows three individuals ascending stairs just as an explosion occurs. Following the blast, a passerby picks up the camera and flees. The bombing in Monaco on June 29 injured Ukrainian-born multimillionaire Yevgeny Jermolayev, his partner, and son. Jermolayev has been under Ukrainian sanctions since December 2023 due to his involvement in the alcohol trade in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Earlier in July, Anastasiya Berezovska, a Ukrainian national identified as the main suspect in the Monaco bombing, was found shot dead near Kyiv. A member of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and a former SBU employee have been arrested on suspicion of her murder. Both men are accused of planning the attack and recruiting Berezovska to carry it out.
