Ukraine strikes Russian oil refineries deep inside Russia, Zelenskyy says

Ukraine has conducted successful drone attacks on two Russian oil refineries located deep within Russian territory, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced via the social media platform X. He emphasized the success of these operations, which targeted facilities in Bashkiria, approximately 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and the Yaroslavl region, about 700 kilometers away.

Zelenskyy stated that these attacks are part of Ukraine's response to Russian aggression in the Black Sea. He also reported that Ukrainian forces successfully struck two Russian military patrol boats and vessels belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet." According to Zelenskyy, the targeted oil facilities are crucial for Russia's war financing and its ongoing military actions against Ukrainians.
