Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Refinery and Wildberries Warehouse Again

Ukraine has again targeted Russian energy infrastructure and logistics facilities with drone attacks. Residents in Saratov and surrounding areas reported explosions and a fire overnight, with initial reports suggesting casualties at the Saratov oil refinery.

The Saratov refinery, a facility belonging to Rosneft and one of Russia's oldest, processed 4.8 million tons of oil in 2023. It has been a repeated target, having been attacked by drones at least 15 times since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In addition to the refinery, drone attacks also struck the Wildberries logistics complex in Novosemeikino, located in the Samara region. This complex, which opened in May 2025, covers approximately 130,000 square meters and is expected to handle 120 million items annually when operating at full capacity.

Reports also emerged of an attack near Engels, a city situated across the Volga River from Saratov, known to host a base for Russia's strategic bombers. These strikes follow President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's confirmation yesterday of the destruction of the Russian container ship 'Zanina,' which was on a sanctions list, and infrastructure at three oil refineries in Bashkortostan.
