Ukraine strikes Russian tanker and bridges; Russia claims village capture

Ukraine announced on Wednesday that it had successfully targeted a Russian shadow fleet tanker in the Black Sea, though the extent of the damage remains unclear. The Ukrainian Armed Forces stated the tanker was hit, adding to a series of Ukrainian strikes aimed at disrupting Russian operations.

In addition to the naval strike, Ukrainian forces also reported hitting two road bridges in Russian-occupied territories. Details regarding any damage to these bridges were not provided. Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed its forces had captured the village of Kutuzovka in the Donetsk region. Reuters has been unable to independently verify this claim.

Recent Russian drone attacks have continued to inflict civilian casualties across Ukraine. Local authorities reported that at least ten civilians were killed and over 60 injured in the latest wave of strikes. The Donetsk region was particularly hard-hit, with four fatalities and nearly twenty individuals wounded. In the Sumy region, a drone struck a children's equestrian school, causing no injuries but resulting in the deaths of several horses.

Separately, Russian authorities reported that a Ukrainian drone damaged a bus carrying a children's football team in Russia's Bryansk region. Officials stated that one woman died in the attack and six people were injured, including four children. The ages of the children on the bus were not specified by Russian authorities, according to Reuters.
