Ukraine: Zelenskyy expects 30,000 soldiers from North Korea

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that North Korea is preparing to significantly bolster Russia's war effort with troops and heavy weaponry. According to Zelenskyy's evening video address, Russia is making arrangements to accommodate an additional 30,000 North Korean soldiers in the Voronezh region.

Beyond troop deployment, Pyongyang also intends to provide Russia with more ballistic missile launch platforms. Zelenskyy indicated that these plans are part of Moscow's military preparations for the approaching autumn. He cited Ukrainian intelligence assessments, asserting that Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin harbors no intentions of peace.

Zelenskyy characterized the planned North Korean support for Moscow as a threat extending to Asia. "Russia is helping North Korea learn the art of war, improving its weapons, and giving the country experience in the real use of weapons," he stated. "All of this poses a threat to everyone in Asia who is within range of North Korean missiles."

This alleged military collaboration between Russia and North Korea highlights a deepening strategic alignment between the two nations, raising concerns about regional stability and the potential for further escalation in ongoing conflicts.
