Ukrainian Drones Destroy Russian Uragan Rocket Launcher

A Ukrainian drone unit, "Lasar's Group," has released footage showing the destruction of a Russian BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launcher system. The strike took place in early July when intelligence analysts identified a location used by Russian forces for preparing rocket attacks.

Attack drones were dispatched to the identified area and observed a rocket-laden BM-27 Uragan moving towards its planned launch site. The video depicts drones striking the Uragan system twice. The multiple rocket launcher caught fire, and its rockets detonated before the system could be prepared for firing. As the fire spread, several rockets were launched uncontrollably from the launch tubes.

The BM-27 Uragan is a Soviet-era 220 mm multiple rocket launcher system designed to attack enemy personnel, armored vehicles, and military positions. It can fire up to 16 rockets in a salvo, reaching targets approximately 35 kilometers away. The system can also deploy anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.

"Lasar's Group" is a unit within the National Guard of Ukraine specializing in drone operations against Russian equipment. In a separate operation in late July, the unit reportedly intercepted a Russian ZALA Z-20 reconnaissance drone at an altitude of 6,400 meters.
