Mykhailo Mudryk's football career has taken a significant turn, allowing him to return to play immediately after a doping ban was lifted. The Ukrainian forward had been sidelined for over a year and a half due to a four-year suspension for a doping violation involving a low concentration of meldonium.

The resolution came after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The ban was overturned due to updated scientific standards used by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to evaluate such samples. The Football Association (FA) stated that if Mudryk's sample had been collected today, the meldonium concentration would not have been reported, and no anti-doping rules would have been broken.

Mudryk is set to join Chelsea's preseason tour in Hong Kong. The coaching staff will work on his physical condition after his extended absence. Before his suspension, he had played 73 official matches, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists.
