UMNO Youth Perlis files police report to investigate Red Gathering

UMNO Youth in Perlis has lodged a police report concerning the "Himpunan Merah" (Red Gathering) scheduled for August 30. The youth wing expressed concerns that the assembly could provoke public unrest and disturb peace, particularly in relation to the recent demolition of the Veeramakaliamman Temple in Bukit Lagi.

Saiful Fariddil Jasmi, the head of UMNO Youth Perlis, stated that the report was filed at the Kangar District Police Headquarters. He emphasized the seriousness with which they view the planned gathering, suspecting it is connected to the temple demolition issue. The group fears it could incite provocation and negatively impact public order.
