Uncle killed with saber; suspect apprehended after being shot in leg

A fatal stabbing occurred in Kavaklı Mahallesi, Turkey, when Enes Kara allegedly attacked his uncle, İbrahim Kara, with a saber during a dispute. The altercation, which began around 5 p.m., escalated quickly from an argument to a physical fight.

During the struggle, Enes Kara reportedly inflicted stab wounds on his uncle. Emergency services and police were dispatched to the scene following reports from bystanders. Authorities attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the suspect, Enes Kara, did not comply with their warnings.

Police were forced to shoot the suspect in the leg to subdue him. İbrahim Kara, the victim, received initial medical treatment at the scene before being transported to Gölcük Necati Çelik State Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Enes Kara was taken to Kocaeli City Hospital for treatment of his leg wound.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway. The exact cause of the argument that led to the fatal stabbing remains unknown.
