Undefeated CD Valdivia Leads Chilean Basketball League Playoff Qualifiers

Club Deportivo Valdivia has concluded the regular season of Chile's National Basketball League (LNB) as the sole undefeated team. The squad, coached by Cipriano Núñez, achieved an impeccable record in the South Conference, winning all 12 of their matches.

According to the competition format, the top three teams from each conference have secured direct passage to the playoffs. This includes CD Universidad de Concepción, Colegio Los Leones, Municipal Puente Alto, CD Valdivia, CD Español de Osorno, and ABA Ancud.

Teams finishing in fourth and fifth place in each zone will engage in a best-of-three series to determine the final two spots in the Big 8 playoffs. Universidad Católica will face Puerto Varas Basket, while Puerto Montt Basket is set to play CSD Colo-Colo in these crucial matchups.

Meanwhile, the five clubs that did not qualify for the postseason will enter the playout stage to maintain their position in Liga Uno. This survival round will consist of two phases: a round-robin tournament where the last-place team faces a relegation playoff, and then a best-of-five series against the bottom team of the Accumulated Standings. The loser of this final series will be relegated.
