Uni-Lions evaluate new foreign pitchers as Verity takes leave for childbirth

As the August 31 deadline for foreign player registration looms, the Uni-Lions baseball team is actively assessing potential new foreign pitchers. The team currently has four foreign pitchers on its roster, all of whom have demonstrated stable performance.

However, the club is not resting on its laurels and is simultaneously evaluating new foreign talent. Head coach Lin Yueh-ping confirmed that the team has reviewed video footage of potential candidates. Adding to the team's personnel considerations, pitcher Ryan Verity has requested a week-long leave of absence. His wife's due date is set for late August or early September, and he wishes to be present for the birth of their child. The team has acknowledged his request and is evaluating the situation concurrently with its assessment of new foreign pitchers.
