Uni-President Lions Announce Major Roster Changes After Shutout Loss

Following a decisive 7-0 shutout loss to the Fubon Guardians, the Uni-President Lions have implemented a substantial roster shake-up. The team announced the demotion of three players: Lin Hong-hsien, Lin Pei-wei, and Cheng Chun-jen. Simultaneously, pitcher Takayuki Shio, along with Lin Ching-kai and Lin Jia-wei, have been promoted to the active roster.

Lions' manager Lin Yue-ping expressed hope that the revised lineup will provide a fresh dynamic for the team. He acknowledged the recent challenges, including injuries to key players like Chiu Chih-cheng and Chu Chia-en, and a general dip in form among other players. Foreign pitcher Jordan's performance has also been a point of concern. He was removed after pitching only 3 innings on 83 pitches, allowing 5 runs.
