Unidentified Drones Crash in Turkey, Investigations Underway

Authorities in Turkey are investigating two separate incidents involving unidentified drones that crashed in the northern provinces of Samsun and Kastamonu. The origin and ownership of the unmanned aerial vehicles remain unknown, sparking security concerns.

In Samsun's Alaçam district, local gendarmerie units responded to a report of a downed object. Security forces cordoned off the area and initiated a technical examination to identify the wreckage, which was preliminarily assessed as a drone. The findings will be further evaluated by relevant authorities.

Similarly, in Kastamonu's Cide district, a drone crashed in a hazelnut garden behind a residence, causing a loud noise and catching fire. The owner of the property, Musa Zilan, reported the incident to the gendarmerie, who subsequently launched an investigation into the drone's origin and ownership.

Both investigations are ongoing, with authorities working to determine how the drones entered the region and their intended purpose. The lack of immediate identification has fueled speculation and heightened vigilance in the affected areas.
