University of Seoul partners with Seoul Technopark to boost tech commercialization

The Early Employment Contract Department at the University of Seoul has joined forces with Seoul Technopark to bolster businesses engaged in technology commercialization. This collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of companies in their research and development planning and the crucial process of writing R&D proposals.

The initiative, held on July 24th, provided a comprehensive training program designed to deepen practical understanding of the commercialization process following technology transfer. Participants gained insights into utilizing public technology trading platforms and received guidance on crafting effective R&D proposals.

The event, conducted both online and offline, saw participation from 78 individuals representing various companies. Key components of the program included an overview of support programs offered by Seoul Technopark and related institutions, training on the use of public technology trading platforms, and detailed instruction on writing R&D plans. Additionally, one-on-one consultations were arranged between company representatives and experts.

The University of Seoul's Early Employment Contract Department also introduced its unique educational model. This model focuses on nurturing master's-level researchers tailored to industry demands, fostering collaboration between universities and companies. Students engage in joint R&D projects with corporate research labs during their studies, creating a pathway for early recruitment.
