UNIZIK Appoints Professor Adaoma Igwedibia Deputy Director of Advancement Board

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka has appointed Professor Adaoma Igwedibia as the Deputy Director of its Advancement Board. The appointment, approved by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Anyaehie, takes effect on August 1, 2026.

Professor Igwedibia, a Professor of Literary Pragmatics and Gender Studies, brings a wealth of experience to the role. She previously served as Head of the Department of English Language and Literature and as Deputy Director of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). Her contributions have focused on strengthening university learning and implementing educational development programs.
