UNM Partners with Bank Syariah Indonesia to Launch 3+1 Internship Program for Job-Ready Graduates

Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), a digital business campus, is strengthening its industry ties by partnering with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to implement the "Internship Experience Program (IEP) 3+1." This flagship program is designed to bridge academia and the professional world, offering students a unique pathway to career readiness.

The IEP 3+1 model integrates three years of rigorous academic coursework at UNM with a full year of hands-on professional internship experience at BSI. This structure ensures that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also acquire practical skills and a deep understanding of the banking industry before graduation. Muhammad Faisal, head of UNM's Career Center, highlighted the program's strategic importance in aligning educational outcomes with industry demands.

"Through the IEP 3+1 Program, students not only gain academic knowledge in the classroom but also direct experience in the working world," Faisal stated. "Collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia is a strategic step to provide industry-based learning while enhancing students' competence and job readiness before they graduate."

BSI has expressed its openness to receiving UNM interns, emphasizing that students will undergo the bank's standard procedures, including application, administrative requirements, and selection based on departmental needs. Wahyu, a BSI representative, noted that the internship offers students a chance to learn the professional work culture in Islamic banking and develop essential technical and soft skills. This partnership is seen as a crucial first step in fostering synergy between education and industry, ultimately boosting the competitiveness of UNM graduates in the labor market.
