UNM Student Gains System Analyst Experience Through GMF AeroAsia Internship

Anisa Febrianti, a seventh-semester student in Systems Information at Nusa Mandiri University (UNM), is honing her skills as a System Analyst intern at PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF AeroAsia).

I am participating in the internship program to gain work experience and apply the knowledge learned during my studies. I also want to understand the System Analyst job directly.

Through UNM's Internship Experience Program (IEP), Anisa is applying her academic knowledge in a professional environment. She aims to understand the System Analyst role firsthand and test the theories learned in her coursework. Her responsibilities include analyzing system requirements and business processes, identifying user needs, and creating documentation such as Business Requirements, Flow Processes, and Activity Diagrams. Courses like System Analysis and Design, Databases, Customer Relationship Management, and System Information Project Management have been instrumental. "Some of the activities I've undertaken include understanding business process flows, identifying user needs, conducting system analysis, and creating system requirement documentation," she explained.

Beyond technical skills, the internship is enhancing her communication, teamwork, attention to detail, discipline, and responsibility. Navigating the company's complex business processes is also sharpening her analytical thinking. Anisa believes this experience at GMF AeroAsia is a crucial stepping stone before entering the professional world.
