UP Assembly Speaker calls for 'constructive' debate in Monsoon session

Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana has called for a constructive and meaningful Monsoon session, set to begin on August 3 and conclude on August 6. He emphasized that the assembly, nearing the end of its five-year term, should focus on productive discussions regarding the government's performance over the past four-and-a-half years.

During the session, the state government will present a supplementary budget. Mahana expressed his expectation that all political parties will engage in debates, presenting their viewpoints with facts and logic while upholding the dignity of the House. He encouraged members to raise issues and grievances, assuring that the government would respond.

I expect all political parties to participate in discussions on the achievements and work done by the government over the last four-and-a-half years.

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the convening of this session, which follows the previous one that concluded on April 30. Mahana views the upcoming session as a crucial opportunity to review the work accomplished during the Assembly's tenure so far, hoping for effective and insightful debates.
