Upcoming Lithuania rivals Bosnia and Herzegovina defeat Poland; Serbia edges France

Bosnia and Herzegovina's national basketball team secured a 69-60 victory over Poland in a friendly match, signaling their readiness for upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers. The game, played on home soil, saw Jusuf Nurkić emerge as the top scorer for the Bosnian side with 18 points, supported by Edin Atić's 11 points and Amar Alibegović's 10.

For the Polish team, Mateusz Ponitka was the leading scorer with 15 points, followed by Dominik Olejniczak with 10. Despite the loss, Poland's effort included contributions from Jarosław Żyśkowski (8 points) and Michał Sokołowski (6 points).

The match serves as a crucial warm-up for Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are scheduled to face Lithuania in Vilnius on August 31 as part of the World Cup qualifying window. This encounter is particularly significant as it marks a direct confrontation with one of Lithuania's future opponents in the qualifiers.
