URBA Top 14: CASI and SIC Lose Before Classic Match; Hindú Dominates in High-Scoring Round

The tenth round of the URBA Top 14 rugby league delivered significant surprises and high-scoring matches. In a notable upset, Belgrano, previously lagging in the standings, defeated the then-second-place team, CASI, with a close 43-40 scoreline on their home turf.

League leaders Hindú continued their strong performance, crushing Los Matreros 59-22 at home. This decisive victory allowed them to widen the gap at the top of the table. Newman, following their own impressive 54-29 win against Atlético del Rosario, has now climbed to become Hindú's closest pursuer.

However, the standings among the top teams saw shifts. SIC, another prominent San Isidro team, suffered a 27-17 defeat against Los Tilos. This means that out of the initial top four teams, only the first and third-placed teams secured victories in this round. The second and fourth-placed teams, CASI and SIC, are set to face each other in the upcoming week, promising an intense matchup.

In other matches, Alumni secured a 33-14 win against Regatas Bella Vista at home. CUBA emerged victorious on the road, defeating Buenos Aires CRC 50-20. Meanwhile, in a contest between lower-ranked teams, Champagnat lost at home to La Plata with a score of 30-20.
