Uruguay forecast for Monday: Cloudy skies, isolated rain and temperatures up to 21°C

Uruguay is set for a mostly cloudy Monday, with isolated showers, periods of fog and partial improvement during the afternoon and evening, according to the National Meteorological Institute, known as Inumet.

Temperatures across the country will range from 7°C to 21°C. In the northwest, isolated rain and southeast winds of 10 to 30 km/h are expected, with gusts reaching 40 km/h. Conditions should improve gradually later in the day, although some showers may continue.

The northeast will see cloud cover, mist, fog banks and isolated precipitation in the morning. Winds from the east and southeast will reach 20 to 40 km/h, with gusts of up to 50 km/h. Isolated rain is expected to persist into the evening, with a low chance of storms. Temperatures will range from 12°C to 19°C.

The southwest and central-southern areas will begin with cloudy or overcast skies, mist and light isolated precipitation. Both regions should see decreasing cloud cover later, although fog, mist and occasional light rain may remain. Temperatures will range from 9°C to 20°C in the southwest and from 7°C to 21°C in the central-south.

The east will also start with cloudy or overcast skies, mist and fog banks. Conditions are expected to improve during the afternoon and evening, with temperatures between 7°C and 19°C. Punta del Este will remain heavily overcast, with temperatures from 10°C to 14°C. Montevideo and the metropolitan area will have a cloudy to overcast morning with mist.
