Uruguay forecast for Monday, September 7, 2026: Cold temperatures across the country

Uruguay will begin Monday, September 7, under low temperatures, with the national forecast ranging from -2°C to 15°C, according to the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology, Inumet.

The northwest is expected to see frost and mist in the morning, with temperatures from 1°C to 15°C. The northeast could range from 0°C to 13°C, while the southwest is forecast to record between 0°C and 14°C. In the central-southern region, temperatures are expected to fall between -1°C and 13°C, with frost, fog and mist during the morning.

In the east, temperatures could drop to -2°C and reach 12°C. Punta del Este is forecast to be milder, from 5°C to 11°C. Montevideo and the metropolitan area will have a partly cloudy morning with periods of cloud, frost and mist, followed by cloudy skies and continued cold conditions. Winds across the areas will generally come from the east or northeast at 10 to 30 km/h.
